One of my favorite things about Christmas time is the music! Thanksgiving is always a special time with family so I choose to hold off on celebrating Christmas until afterwards. But I really love Christmas music and every year it does seem to get harder and harder to wait!
As Christmas day gets closer, I’m sharing a few of my favorite holiday albums. I hope they help to bring cheer and joy into your home!
JJ Heller – Unto Us

One of my absolute favorites! JJ Heller has a beautiful, soothing voice. There aren’t many albums where I enjoy listening to every single song but this is definitely one. “Christmas is Here” and “Count Your Blessings” are two of my favorites. Amazon, YouTube, Spotify
Songs for Christmas – Phil Wickham

Phil Wickham has such a unique voice giving a fresh twist to some great classics. I make sure to listen to this one every year. Amazon, Spotify
Campfire Christmas – Rend Collective

This is a really fun and upbeat album. Rend Collective is an Irish band and they use a wide assortment of instruments which produces a very unique folk like sound. Go check out their other albums as well and if you get a chance to see them in concert, I highly recommend it! Amazon, YouTube, Spotify
Emmanuel – Bekah Shae

I found Beckah Shae randomly and I’m so glad I did. She’s got a powerful voice that brings a fresh breath of air to songs on her two Christmas albums. Amazon, YouTube, Spotify
Joy – Stephen Curtis Chapman

Steven Curtis Chapman is such a legend in the world of Contemporary Christian music. I grew up listening to his music so of course I had to check out this Christmas album. It did not disappoint! He sings a few classics in addition to a few of his own creations. Amazon, YouTube, Spotify
Christmas – Francesca Battastelli

This Christmas album has some fun and bold songs along side some sweet and mellow tunes. “Heaven Everywhere” is a favorite of mine. Amazon, YouTube, Spotify
Christmas is Here – Brandon Heath

I’ve listened to Brandon’s music for quite some time now and have seen him in concert as well. “Just A Girl”, a song about Mary, will tug at your heartstrings. Amazon, YouTube, Spotify
Songs of Winter – The Hound + The Fox

I discovered this couple’s music quite recently and am loving this album. I’ve already listened to “What Child is This/Child of the Poor” and “Winter Song” multiple times each. Amazon, YouTube, Spotify
A Hollins Family Christmas – Peter Hollins

Good stuff, definitely check out this family friendly album. I believe most if not all of the songs are a cappella. The music videos on YouTube are really well done and fun to watch. Amazon, YouTube, Spotify
Christmas Classics – Bing Crosby

What’s a Christmas without hearing Bing serenade you with “White Christmas”? Some great classics on this one. Amazon, YouTube, Spotify
Little Women soundtrack

Okay, okay, whether or not Little Women is a Christmas movie is debatable. But since so many scenes in the movie revolve around Christmas and wintertime, it’s hard for me not to think of it as one. The soundtrack is lovely and you will feel transported back in time to old New England. If you haven’t seen the movie, it’s a must see! The stellar cast includes Winona Ryder, Claire Danes, Susan Sarandon, Christian Bale, and Kirsten Dunst. Movie, Amazon, YouTube, Spotify
A Family Christmas & Christmas Together – The Piano Guys

Piano music and Christmas songs, two of my favorite things, are combined here. Technically they use more instruments than just the piano so I would describe their songs as having a classical feel with a modern twist. If you’re looking for some great instrumental Christmas music, definitely check these albums out. Many of their music videos on YouTube are super entertaining because of how creative they get with their filming locations. A performance on the beach, a mountain, near a waterfall, or even at the Wall of China, no big deal. #1 Amazon, YouTube, Spotify #2 Amazon, YouTube, Spotify
He Is Born – BYU Vocal Point

BYU Vocal Point, a male a capella group, delivers a fabulous performance on this album. This much talent coming together is a joy to listen to. Amazon, YouTube, Spotify
Noel – Josh Groban

I’ve been a fan of Josh Groban’s music since way back when he was first starting out. My high school celebrity crush? “ahem” maybe… 😉 But seriously, THAT VOICE…so much talent packed into this album. Amazon, YouTube, Spotify
Christmas – Michael Buble

There are so many great Christmas songs on this album. His version of Feliz Navidad is definitely my favorite. He also brings a little romance to your Christmas with “Cold December Night”, “Baby Please Come Home”, and “All I Want For Christmas is You.” Amazon, YouTube, Spotify
That’s Christmas to Me & A Pentatonix Christmas – Pentatonix

Here are some more a capella album options! Pentatonix brings a fun twist to several of the popular Christmas songs you’d expect to hear this time of year. #1 Amazon, YouTube, Spotify – #2 Amazon, YouTube, Spotify
